Apple Watch Ultra Hardware

With the latest high end watch, the Ultra, has Apple solved the sensor shortcomings they've had and known about for the past seven years with regards to not working over tattoos? I've tried them all through this time, even the series 7 which becomes nothing but a mere toy with all the loss of functionality. If anyone can clarify it wold be much appreciated and save me buying and returning yet another apple watch. Thanks in advance

We are all users like yourself, so no specialist at Apple will see this.

Probably the only way to know if the watch will work in your circumstance is to buy it, or alternately visit an Apple Store and try one out.

You are probably right. I was hoping that perhaps users with tattoos just on one arm might test on each side to see if the issue continues or has been solved. I suspect I'll end up doing what you say and dropping into an apple shop and trying for myself if I hear no more or find no other information anywhere. Thank you taking the time to read and reply, much appreciated

The issue cannot be resolved short of you removing your tattoos. The sensors emit light in certain frequencies to do readings, if you have tattoos this distorts the light frequency. That can’t be changed. The only thing Apple could do to remedy this on their end would be to have adjust emitters that could read the colors on your tatoo and adjust accordingly. Currently that would not be economically or physically possible.
