iOS 16 update causing Camera app to drain battery on locked phone
iOS 16 updated yesterday. Locked my phone at 9:50 pm last night with 88% battery and woke up with 5% battery. Battery app shows 84% used by “Camera”.
Why?
Phone is iPhone 13 Pro Max
Perhaps you can't imagine/grasp what happens to an iPhone after a major update like iOS 16.
The device must perform extraordinary housekeeping on your existing data/apps/media and it might take 24/48 hours to normalize its activity.
Keep it plugged in, and connected to a reliable wifi network as long as you can.
