I am trying to update my sound library and every time I try to install, I get this prompt "GarageBand was not able to install the new sounds. Close and re-open GarageBand to download and install them again." I follow those directions and it still happens. How do I fix this? It is also happening on multiple machines which are running on the same network.
I have the same problem. Called Apple they said to make sure I have done all updates to my new MacBookPro, did all that.
Now GB = ver. 10.4.5 and Mac OS = 12.6 Monterey.
Still getting the same message. The person at Apple did not seem to have this problem previously reported.
I will need to call back.
Which version of GarageBand are you using? GarageBand '11, version 6.0.5, or the newer GarageBand 10.4.6?
