Call Notifications While on Another Call

When I am driving and talking hands free through iphone speaker and I get another call - it doesn't alert me. Something may come up on the screen of my phone but as I am driving I do not see it. I have missed important phone calls this way and have no idea that anyone ever called me until later I see I have had a missed call. Is there a way that it can sound an alert like call waiting used to do? I have not been able to find anything about this.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.

Are you only experiencing this behavior when driving?

If yes, are you using a vehicle with CarPlay?

Also, do you have Driving Focus enabled? You can check to see if Driving Focus enables automatically by going to Settings > Focus > Driving > Turn on Automatically > While Driving. From here, you can change the option to Automatically, When Connected to Car Bluetooth, or Manually. In addition, there's a toggle for Activate With Carplay.

In the meantime, we recommend that you check for any carrier updates, which can help ensure you're receiving those calls properly.
