Phone calls

I apparently missed three calls yesterday, but I only have one missed call, phone was connected to Wi-Fi so I had signal. My question is, WHY CAN’T I SEE WHEN THEY CALLED? The only one I know when they call is the notification I got. When I tap on the info icon it just tells me their contact info.
