Not able to install the Zoom app

I got a new Mac and downloaded Zoom. While I received message the installation was successful, I cannot open the app. Every time I click on the Zoom icon on the icons bar it simply bounces but does not open.


If I try to open the app by clicking on a meeting link, I receive a message asking "Do you want to allow this page to open “zoom.us”?" I click allow and the icon on the bar bounces but the app does not open.


I uninstalled the app and then installed it again using the download for Apple Silicon Chip. The same thing happens.


I can join the meeting from the browser but then I'm unable to access the Gallery and see who else is attending. This is very frustrating.


Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

Maybe try Zoom Support.
