Why can't Apple make a wireless Carplay dongle?

Unfortunately, our vehicle does not have wireless Carplay available, so we have to use a cable. Using a cable is frustrating and dangerous, in addition to the wear and tear on your phone port. I have researched what is available on the market, and frankly, none of the options appear to be reliable. We have driven vehicles with the wireless Carplay feature and it works well (no lag or hassles that you get with third party dongles). Assuming Apple works with auto manufacturers to create stable and reliable wireless Carplay options, why doesn't Apple sell a stable and reliable Carplay adapter for vehicles? All the third party companies appear to struggle with a reliable product, so I don't understand why Apple can't offer something for their customers that will work with their existing technology in wired vehicles??
