Hi, I updated to iOS 16 but now the homescreen apps names have a very dark shadow and it looks awful if you use a light wallpaper. It looks dirty. And you can still notice it if you have a dark wallpaper. Is there a way to change this please?

what i found worked for me was settings > accessibility > per-app settings > add home screen > reduce transparency.
Mess around with the default, on, off settings for transparency and one of them should work.
No one is speaking with Apple on this user to user only forum. If you don't like the change, tell Apple.

Lucky! Still issues here even messing with depth effect
I tried this, but depth effect is grayed out and does nothing.
Please Slove this app name shadow.

Honestly, same my dad took my iphone and updated it, so now I have to bear with this ugly shadow. It just kinda ruins the overall look, great job apple 🙄
If you change the folder names to emojis instead of words the shadows go away. Still not a clean look, but it’s less smudgy looking.

The Apple rep’s post is incorrect. You can deselect depth effect (see other user’s suggestion) and that works.
