How do you disconnect your AirPods from Apple Watch permanently?

Greetings

my AirPods always connect to my Apple Watch
I’m looking for a permanent solution so my AirPods never connect to my Apple Watch
it’s annoying because I use my Apple Watch often to send messages and emails
and I’ll be listening to audio simultaneously
the audio will stop and Siri will pop up in my airpods
i have to manually disconnect the AirPods from my Apple Watch’s bluetooth
i have to do this 10-15 times throughout a 7 hour workflow
it’s very annoying and it disturbs my workflow too often

Hello treday25, Yes you can disconnect AirPods from your Apple Watch Permanently. On your iWatch go to your Settings > Bluetooth > Under Devices see your AirPods and click on the Circle i > Click on Forget Device.
