Iphone scam Is it easy to create or find fake iphones? I just purchased a new in sealed box Iphone 14 pro max on Facebook marketplace. The IMEI was real, and good. The box was sealed. But when I opened it, of course not in front of seller, so I’m the fool, it was a real looking phone but it hand finger prints on it. I knew then i was duped. Phone didn’t turn on and didn’t charge. I took to apple store and they said even the sticker on the box was fake as it didn’t scan. Phone was fake too. I hadn’t seen any warnings on social media for this kind of stuff, just wondering if others have. Now I’m out $1500, hard lesson. But again, I’m the fool.

Is my iPhone 13 fake if the box has no IMEI sticker? Recently I bought online a new iPhone 13 from reseller’s shop. When I received a shipment, I saw that there is no sticker on the back of iPhone box. I’ve checked all printings, fonts and other points on the box, it seems to be original. But no sticker makes me confused so I start to look at safety stickers which secure box of self opening. Upper was nice and clear, but sliding a finger of lower sticker I recognised some dust or other small particles trapped under the glue. So question; Is it happen sometimes of original products or it’s fake and reseller has to be reported? I’ve contacted the shop seller, he try to calm me down and ensure that the phone is ok. He add that this was the model of over production and the phone destiny was to the spare phones or guys from ensuring. I don’t know what to think about it. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Hello,

It looks OK to me, but with accessories it can be hard to tell.

Where did you buy it? If you bought it directly from Apple or an authorized retailer it will be genuine. Otherwise, it is hard to say.

Does it work OK, If yes, try not to worry too much.
