Strange app only showing in …..
There is an app on my phone that I cannot find anywhere apart from in the background app refresh. Anyone know what this is? It’s the (web) 1 that’s turned off .

Ok.
It’s like the Chinese keyboard app that is only found on iCloud backup then? Sounds fishy to me surly it should just run in background and not be visible at all if it’s a developer thing?
I have all my experimental web features off and have for some time, so y would this just happen now do u think ?
That is for websites that update their content automatically, even when Safari is closed.
What sites? Why is there no picture on it ? And more importantly, why is it only in background refresh and not in App Library or in my download app list ?
Any site that you access using Safari. It is not an app, it’s an internal function called “webkit” and you will notice that “Safari” is not in the list of apps in Background App Refresh.
It is a developer feature called webkit. And developer features have this kind of logo. Nothing to worry about
