Do I need a SIM card to start my new iPad Pro?
I just received my new iPad Pro with wi-if and cellular from Apple. When trying to get it started it says I need a SIM card. Does that not come with the new devise?

No you don’t need a SIM card - unless you are attempting to set-up Cellular service. An WiFi+Cellular model of iPad can be set-up - and will function perfectly - without a SIM card or associated Cellular service.
If you do need want or need to configure Cellular service, it is then that you’ll need either a physical DataSIM or eSIM from your chosen Cellular service provider.

For some models of iPad, you may also be able to set-up Cellular service directly from the iPad.
