I have configured 2 HomePods as stereo on a Apple TV.
I Noticed that when I stop using them one HomePod makes a pop sound.
last week, during playing a movie, suddenly I heard a strange crisping sound in one HomePod and the HomePod started to make clicking sounds. When I checked the HomePod was hot.
I switched it off to let it cool down.
now when I use it it randomly makes clicking sounds.
can I fix this?

Ungroup the pair first.
Unplug it for over 24 hours, plug it back in and do a factory reset by pressing the top method as instructed here: Reset HomePod - Apple Support Then set it up again
Is this a big HomePod? It might be it’s hardware failing. Quite a few have done this. Mine did and the instructions I provided made mine stop.
It's the Big HomePod. I have 2 HomePods and 2 HomePod mini's.
I also think it's a hardware failing. Yesterday I send the HomePod for repair.

I did follow the steps as described in the instruction but the clicking sound immediately re-appeared.
After some restarts I find out that the HomePod doesn't make the clicking sounds as long as I don't use it.
If I play a song or do a Siri request it immediately clicks again.
Are there any suggestions or could it be a hardware problem.
