Camera sleep mode during timelapse

iP 13 have amazing display. Whole day Timelapse and battery drain is so low! Hands down. But why there is no sleep mode ? Led diode of camera being used will be light on but the display will be off due to battery 🪫.

Apple so hardworking on optimizing battery 🪫 but without this push in Timelapse department? Why ?

is due to some privacy concerns?
