Backup overwriting Documents on External Disc

Why did the Backup overwrote my archives in my External Disk and how can I recover them?

I saved some Files on my External Disc before. Today I decided to make a Backup of my Mac and who it was finished I realized my Files that were before on my External Disc are not there anymore!!

what can I do?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.5

FYI and for Future purposes - Using One Drive for more than One Purpose is not a good idea.

When Time Machine Backup is Configured to use the One Drive - it whats to have Complete Control of the Entire Drive and marks the Drive as Read Only.

It may also Re-Configure the Drive to the expected APFS / GUID Partition Map format.

When doing so, this may cause the " Archive " folder to have been removed

Unless the " Archive " Documents are stored elsewhere, like on iCloud or some other Cloud Based Storage location - they maybe lost and can not be gotten back 😢
