Apple TV on Roku device

I have an active subscription and can watch on two tv’s and my iPad but my Roku 3 in bedroom keeps asking me to start 3 month trial or I can only watch the first episode of a series that I’m trying to continue watching in episode 5.

I’ve checked the settings on the device and don’t see anywhere to confirm my Apple account on it so I don’t know what ti try next. I’ve unplugged and rebooted it with no change.

Any ideas as to what to try next?

How to sign into the Apple TV channel

Before you can sign into the Apple TV channel, you must have an Apple ID. Use the instructions below to sign in with your existing Apple ID, or learn how to create a new Apple ID.

  1. Launch the Apple TV channel
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Accounts
  4. Select Sign In
  5. Two sign-in options appear on your TV

    1. Choose Sign In On Mobile Device to sign in using your smartphone. You can either navigate to activate.apple.com and enter the code displayed on your TV, or scan the QR code that appears. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign in process.
  6. Or, you can choose Sign In On This TV and enter your Apple ID directly on your TV screen using your Roku remote.

  7. If you do not have an Apple ID, select Create an Apple ID. You can either navigate to activate.apple.com and enter the code displayed on your TV, or scan the QR code that appears. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign up process. You will be signed in automatically once you are finished.
