Calendar Syncing Issues

So I am dealing with a Shared Calendar from Outlook. We share this calendar company wide and everyone can use it. Everyone has full editing permissions. The problem is everyone with an Iphone is using the IOS Calendar app. It works great to see all events. However, when it comes to adding an event it will not share it out... no one else can see it. Yes, I am making sure I select the correct calendar. Its weird though because if I add a calendar event from Outlook, I can see it on my phone and delete it and it will disappear. I thought it may be an IOS bug... I was running IOS 15.7 so I updated to IOS 16.0 and that still didnt fix the issue. I have also tried deleting the exchange account off the phone and starting fresh again. But still nothing. Any input would be great thanks!

Based on what you've described, we would recommend reviewing Microsoft's troubleshooting recommendations for sync issues here: Can't sync calendar and contacts with my phone or tablet. These steps should help troubleshooting Microsoft sync issues.

If the issue persists after that, or you find the specific steps included in that resource do not directly address your issue, please get in touch with your company's IT administrator for next steps. They will be able to assist with any issues with your account on their end.

I am the company’s IT Admin. I have checked everywhere through Microsoft’s sync issues. From what I have it’s not a Microsoft issue. I believe it’s an iOS issue. Due to me being able to delete calendar events but not being able to add events.

So that we can look into this further, are other iOS users able to see events you create using Calendar on your iPhone? In addition, if you create an event using iCloud rather than the iPhone, does the same behavior occur?

If not, we'd recommend following the steps listed here to help with syncing issues between devices: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support While we know not all users are Apple users, this can help us to isolate the behavior further.
