Airtag notifications going to wrong phone on account?

Hi everyone,

I have two phones on my Apple ID account, both iPhones. Originally I only had a work iPhone. I recently added another iPhone as a personal phone with it's own number.

The issue I'm having is that the Airtag "item left behind" notification goes to the original number but not the new personal one. I'd like to change it so that Airtag notifications go to the personal phone and not the work one.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi there toshfromva,

To see notifications when leaving an AirTag behind on a specific device, you'll need to pair the AirTags with that device and turn on Notify When Left Behind in the Find My app.

Set up Notify When Left Behind

1. On your iPhone, open the Find My app.

2. Tap Devices or Items.

3. Tap a device.

4. Under Notifications, tap Notify When Left Behind. If you don't see Notify When Left behind, then that device might not be supported.

5. Turn Notify When Left Behind on or off.
