for several months now, my iMessage's has not being reported on myatt usage report. I have called AT&T about this and they don't have an answer for this. I am running the latest iPhone update (16.0) on my iPhone 12 plus. I'm curious if the past updates has caused the secure iMessage's to have not being passed to AT&T usage data report. As I have stated, as of a few months ago all text numbers have been reported on myatt usage report.
I'm not sure what level of detail AT&T reports, but be aware that iMessages use your wi-fi or cellular data. They are not treated as text messages (SMS/MMS messages) which do not use your wi-fi or cellular data plans.
AT&T has no way of knowing how many iMessages you sent or to whom. All they see is that you used cellular data.
I just went thru my usage reports on the AT&T site and MAY 2022 was the last time iMessage's from family members was being shown, so something has happen between Apple and AT&T. All family members have iPhones, so their iMessages were being shown on the AT&T till May of this year and not after that.
That might be true, if in fact that it just been the past few months the texts on usage have not shown up- before then all texts messages were on the usage report. Something has changed between AT&T and Apple, and no one seems to have an answer!
