Within few days, the Pencil 2 developed two hairline cracks. They are expanding. How far are they likely to reach? Apple didn’t acknowledge any defects. Unfortunately, didn’t buy it via Costco where such a return is no question asked!

You need to contact the retailer from whom you purchased your Apple Pencil. If purchased directly from Apple and/or your Pencil is within its twelve-month limited warranty, take your Pencil and proof of purchase along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store:
Thanks. I bought the iPad and the Pencil 2 directly from Apple. Indeed, I took the Pencil to the Genius Bar and they said the expanding hairline cracks were not covered by the 12 month limited warranty. Repairing it would cost more than buying a new one from the Apple site!
Had it been purchased via Costco, it would’ve been returned, no question asked!
