Since the 16.0 update, I am unable to successfully send a text message to a thread containing non-iPhone participants. I receive an error notification. How can I fix this?

I deleted threads, restarted and tried again with no success.
Finally, successful after turning off vpn. I sent a few messages, received responses, turned vpn back on, and still successful. I think I'm good now.

What specific error or message do you receive when trying to text non-iPhone contacts?
Also, are these existing threads or new threads? If you've only noticed this with existing threads, try creating a new message instead of responding in thread and see if the issue persists.

Hi- Thanks for responding. With regard to the error message: for each message I attempt, I receive "Not delivered" with a red circled exclamation point. In addition, I receive a general "Message Send Failure" error message.
I am able to message each of the participants individually.
I created a new message thread and continue to receive the error message.
I restarted several times.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
