Will the Apple Watch 8 function correctly if worn on the inside of your wrist?
the sensors will only work if you wear your Apple Watch on the top of your wrist.

Surprisingly, all of the features have been working well while wearing the watch on the inside of the wrist. No problems at all so far. Since manually checking your pulse is traditionally done on the inside of your wrist, perhaps I should not be surprised.
Some features might not, like heart monitoring.
You've been very lucky then,I tried it with a watch 6 and virtually nothing worked.
It has only been a few weeks and I do wear it firmly on on inner wrist, but so far everything works fine. I will update if I have any issues.
