iPhone 12 mini screen dims

2. Depending on the specific lighting conditions, and if you have this feature enabled, the screen brightness will adjust itself. You can check if you have Auto-Brightness enabled under Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness.

If you have no option to move the brightness higher to see the screen, or it's as high as it can go and still dimming, then you may need to have the hardware checked at an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store.
