problems using nfl+

I subscribed to nfl + premium to watch replays of football games on my apple tv. The app works on my apple iphone, but will not allow me to watch replays on apple tv, even though I used my apple tv app to sign up. If I try to watch a game, it gives me two options: one is to "restore purchase". If I click on that, it tells me that there is no purchase to restore. Another is to order a new subscription. If I do that it tells me that I already have a subscription. I have the latest 4K version of the apple TV device.

NFL+ has horrible customer service. I cannot contact any human being to discuss. I finally got an email for support. I used that and got a reply to provide more information. Once I did that, I got an email back that "this email address is not longer supported". It said to go to support.nfl.com for "faster, more personalized support." That is a web site with a lot of standard articles with suggestions I've already tried. I cannot find any way to contact a human being for help. There's not personalization to it.

Has anyone else had this problem or has any advice?

I had this problem and contacted NFL+ support via their chat bot. That led to a process for creating a ticket, and I did get this response by email. It worked for me.


Please try the following steps:
 
  1. Log out to all NFL App access from your devices. 
  2. Go to NFL.com on a browser (Google Chrome or Safari)
  3. Sign in with your email address and password. 
  4. Select the option to Change Password
  5. Go to the NFL App installed on your devices and Log in


Hope this fixes the problem for you as well.

I’m having the same exact problem with the NFL+ app on Apple TV. Also having the same runaround and not able to identify any means to contact NFL customer support. As a workaround I’ve been able to mirror my iPhone to the Apple TV to watch the games. At this point I don’t even know how a person would be able to cancel when it comes time for auto-renew for the subscription next year.

Ans: No, NFL+ does not support casting at this time. While some features of NFL+ are limited to viewing on a phone or tablet, NFL+ content—like game replays, live game audio, and on-demand programming —can be accessed through your TV or connected device from the NFL App.

I just tried something and now the NFL+ app is working again. On the Apple TV go to Settings, then Apps, then NFL, and set ”Allow NFL to Access TV Provider” to “Always”.

This is the only thing I changed between yesterday and today. It’s also worth mentioning that I recently changed my TV provider and this action may have triggered the issues in my case. Either way, NFL+ needs to fix their lack of customer support.
