2018 MacBook Pro Logic Board Failure

I purchased this laptop new in August 2020. One day it works, the next day it doesn’t turn on.

I have had it diagnosed by and Apple Authorized Tech as the logic board failure and the cost to replace is $1100 CAD.

There aren’t any signs, from the tech, of damage that may have caused the failure.

It seems there are numerous reports here of this logic board issue.

My question is, has anyone had success with Apple acknowledging the issue and

covering this repair expense?

Very concerning that a product of this expense is failing after 24 months.
