How do you lock your iPhone for iCloud backup?

Either press the right side button or do what I do and let it lock automatically based on the time chosen in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock.

Note that it needs to be locked to automatically backup when charging but not when using the Backup Now option.
