I'm having issues with the lightning/hdmi connector since iOS 16 update

I updated to iOS 16 and since then have had issues with the lightning/hdmi connecter with my tv. A couple apps work fine(Disney+) some work a little(Hulu, Prime Video) and some don’t work at all (HBO Max). Prime video will play but not have any audio, Hulu will only have audio during commercials, HBO Max works until the show starts playing then it kicks it off the tv onto only my phone screen. I’ve hard reset and all that and still no luck. My wife has the same phone (iPhone 13) but hasn’t updated yet and hers works perfectly

This has become a bigger issue than just sub services through cellular data. If I’m on WiFi my iPad Pro M2 now only mirrors video. I found occasionally it magically works. If I restart my iPad prior to plugging into the adapter it works every time. Once I unplug and immediately plug back in back to mirror mode until I soft reset then boom plays video like normal again. I’m on iOS 16.3 and this is the only way I’ve found to even get YouTube to AirPlay through HDMI in full screen instead of mirroring.
