Hello,
When I right click and select Get Info on a calendar shared with me, I can check/uncheck the Ignore Alerts button. However, it doesn't matter if the box is checked or unchecked. I am still getting Alerts from the shared calendar.
Please advise.

Thanks for those screenshots. In the Calendar app, choose Calendar from the menu bar and then Preferences > Alerts choose the drop-down for the calendar these events are being created on, then look at the default alerts. What is set here? If nothing, do you sync this calendar with more than one device?

I do not have an issue with Notifications.
I'd like to stop receiving alerts from a calendar that is shared with me.
Please see the attached screenshots. I have checked the box that says ignore alerts. However, I still am alerted when my fiancé adds something to her calendar. It's not showing up as a notification. It's showing up as an alert.

None is selected for all items.
This calendar is on my iphone and mac. Additionally, the calendar that has the troublesome alerts is the my fiancé's, shared with me. Her calendar is on her iphone and mac.
