Siri music recognition not working since iOS 16 update

Is anyone else experiencing this issue where music recognition no longer works with the update to iOS 16? This is on an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Siri listens for the song but then says "I can't recognize music right now. Please try again later". I've been "trying again later" for the past 3 days now and it's still not working. I downloaded the Shazam app and it works fine. So it must be a Siri issue since Siri also uses Shazam as its search engine but is unable to find music. I've tried every reset/reinstall option suggested in either Apple's forums or from Google searches to no avail. If this is a known issue, I sure wish Apple would say that it is and that they're working on fixing it. Anyone else out there noticing this issue with their phones?

Ok, after updating to iOS 16.1, this issue seems to have been fixed for me. Siri is now recognizing songs one after the other. Please try updating your devices and check.

Ive upgraded to the latest updates religiously without thinking about any naysayers even so the same problem is still happening. It is so trivial to always tap

on the Shazam to know the song. I missed having to only say ‘hey siri what song is this ?’ and hollaaa in a split second I will get notify. I hope Apple will rectify this soon.

My wife and I are both having this issue on our iPhone 13 Pro Max phones. Shazam says it can't recognize the song and to try again later. We have both restarted our phones numerous times to no avail.

How do I get Siri to go back to naming music from Apple Music and not Shazam? Since I downloaded the latest update is when it started. How do I fix this?

I am still having the same issue with SIRI not recognizing songs. Is Apple ever going to fix this issue? I have the latest update, 16.1.2 and still no results. December 8th, 2022

Thanks for the suggestion...but we've rebooted this phone at least a half dozen times and it didn't change anything. So we're just going to deal with this until Apple addresses this in a future update. For now, short of following instructions not authorized by Apple to "downgrade" the phone back to iOS 15.6.1, there's nothing else we can do. Thanks again.
