iPhone 14 Pro Photos Dark and “Correction”

iPhone 14Pro photos are darker than what the screen shows when I take it and once I open the new photo after about 1.5 seconds it looks like it corrects or something happens to the photo. Any fix with this or advice?

Hey there WSU Cougs,

We're unsure of what you're referring to in both scenarios, but we did find a link that shows how to edit photos taken should you wish to change the settings: Edit photos and videos on iPhone

We also see you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.0.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

If there's still an issue with the photos you take after the details above are taken into consideration, we recommend taking the steps here next: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working

If the issue still remains, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support next to let them know what has been tried, and go from there. They'll be in the best position to assist further with this: Get Support

Cheers!
