How can I update my credit card information so I can verify my credit card and make a purchase?
I am following instructions on apple support and I don't even have the options they note when I login to the app store.

To verify your payment information:
Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details.
On the Sidebar click Payment methods -> then tap Payments Methods and tap Manage payment method.
Or -> Change, add or remove Apple ID payment methods

If you update your payment method or add funds to your Apple ID balance, It would take about 1 to 3 business days in order to process.
If you're still unable to update your payment method, Contact Apple Support.

this is not working! I'm trying to purchase a song. It wants me to verify my credit card even though I have money in apple account. additionally the card on file is expire and I can't update it even logging into app store on Mac. Help.
