Hello. We recently got an Apple Watch Series 8 and the microphone somehow gets disabled and stops working. Once we restart the watch the microphone starts working again. Is there something we might be accidentally hitting that disables the mic?
I just did an unpair and re-pair and it’s been ok for a day and a half so far.
When Answering phone the other person cannot hear me. Siri cannot hear me. A watch reboot or sometimes adjusting watch permissions fixes the issue temporarily.
I purchase series 8 Apple Watch yesterday for myself and my Mother. When we have tried calling one another I can hear her but she can’t hear me. I have tried the system reset on my watch - works then but when I try later doesn’t work again. Is there a way around this? It’s not even a day old yet I shouldn’t have to keep resetting. Please help?’
I’m also having the same issue with my new watch. Microphone stops working sporadically which is quite annoying. Went to Apple Store where I bought it from, the staff didn’t acknowledge it as an issue which is quite disappointing.

Apparently there is not a certain fix so far. This problem drive me crazy.
I’ve contacted Apple this evening and raised this. They are calling me tomorrow morning so shall see. My mums watch seems fine so far 🤞it’s crazy!
I am facing the same issue myself and apple support is not even recognising this, hope they give a fix soon as it seems a bug because diagnostics showed microphone working fine.
Same here. No workaround found so far...shall we have to wait for a OS fix?
Having the same issues as well, Series 8. Sometimes a restart works, sometimes not. Factory reset also did not fix it. Went in for an exchange, but within an hour of setting up the newly exchanged watch, the issue happened again. Many users on Reddit are also experiencing the issue, this needs to be looked into asap.

I got the same problem. I have to reboot my Apple Watch 8 almost everyday. This is very annoying!
