Microphone on watch 8

Having the latest software installed can help with overall performance, so make sure your Apple Watch and paired iPhone are up to date: Apple security updates

Also check the microphone to see if anything is covering it.

If those steps don't help, unpair your Apple Watch, then set it up again: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

If you need more help, reply with answers to these questions:

• Do you notice this behavior when using a specific app? If so, which one?
• Although your Apple Watch is brand new, has it been exposed to liquid since you've had it?

I am having a similar issue (also watch 8). Are you using the Sound Levels on the watch face? If I use Walkie Talkie (only way I have been able to consistently duplicate it) it will kill the Sounds levels and the microphone will no longer work until I restart the watch. It seems at least for me if I don't have Sound Levels on the watch face it does not glitch out the microphone.
