As far as I know, AirTags can only be set up on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

After setting up your AirTags on your iOS device, they should show up in Find My on your Mac provided your Mac is signed in to the same Apple ID as your iOS device ... and provided your Mac is running macOS Big Sur or Monterey.
