Is there a way to get GarageBand to play mid-note

I'm working on a track that has 5 layered synth drones running constantly underneath. The track is about 12 minutes long, but in order to hear any section of it, I have to play it from the start and wait as the drones won't play if I start the playhead after the note has started. Is there any way around this?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.5

Midi sends note-on/note-off commands. There is no way to start in the middle.
