iPhone 5S with AT&T

Could I start using my iPhone 5S for my daily use phone? I asked AT&T and they said contact Apple (I dont know why). So should I? I don't know if its discontinued for 4G.

This is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple. There is nothing that Apple can do to make your iPhone work with AT&T assuming your iPhone is carrier unlocked and AT&T will accept it as a walk in device. If it is carrier unlocked call AT&T back and ask to speak to a supervisor or manager or someone who knows what they are talking about. Or go to AT&T's support site and ask there.
