No, there is no way to change the sound. And, there is no reason to believe that Apple will change it with the next update.

You can let Apple know that you'd like to see something different using the feedback link provided above. It's possible that, if enough people request the change, Apple will, at some undetermined point in the future, make the change.

Me too. With my new iPhone 14, the sound made by my phone when I use my watch to locate it is not at all a sound I would use if given a choice. And I’ve tried to figure out how to change it to no avail.

After iOS 16, ringtone created by tapping Apple Watch to find phone misplaced nearby (house, car) changed. I don’t prefer it. How do i change sound to another one? I’ve searched but can’t find an answer.

i'm sorry but I don't have a helpful answer I just want to add my voice to this discussion in that I too do not like the new sound and wish there could be a way to select a sound or at least go back to the previous sound.

Seriously! Why can’t we pick the sound that is played? Why can’t we change this alert sound like all other sounds? I liked the old beep - hate the new intrusive “song” that came with ios16
