Apple Music profile age restrictions

Hello,

Does anyone know what the age restrictions are in Apple Music in Canada? My son is not able to access or create his profile so that we can follow each other and other family members and see what musics other are listening to.

Thanks.

Hello YUPS,

We think we've found information that will be helpful in creating a profile for a child on Apple Music. Please check out the following article for complete details: Create an Apple Music profile on Mac - Apple Support.

Create a profile
1. In the Music app  on your Mac, click Listen Now in the sidebar on the left.

2. Click the My Account button (looks like a photo or monogram) in the top-right corner of the window, then click Get Started.

3. Follow the onscreen prompts to create a user name, find and follow friends, share playlists, and more.
If you want to share music with friends only, make sure to select People You Approve in the “Choose who can follow you” area.

4. Click Done.

After you finish setting up your profile, you can find friends whose music profile you’d like to follow or choose who you share music with (so friends can see what you’re listening to).

Note: If you’re the organizer of a Family Sharing group, you can allow children to create Apple Music profiles (or prevent them from doing so). See Restrict access to items in Music.

You can also find information regarding child accounts and privacy restrictions here: Legal - Family Privacy Disclosure for Children - Apple.

Hope this helps!
