I turned off WebKit on my iPhone. Is that a good thing?

Why is it that every time I update any Apple product, the update completely messes up my device(s)? I'm tired of this. I unchecked every web kit box on my iPhone and I'm glad I did after reading this article. What then is the benefit of updating again?

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 15

Given that WebKit is a fundamental part of iOS and is completely impossible to remove or to disable, it might be inferred that this involves the Safari WebKit experimental features settings, and with efforts to further experiment with Safari rendering.

Have there been issues with these WebKit experimental features settings changes, other than the reported shifting of settings for different WebKit features being tested as iOS is being updated? If so, you might want to log your feedback.

If you want or need to disable access to Safari (which is based on WebKit), that would usually involve Focus or Screen Time.
