Cannot hear ringtone on iPhone 11 Pro

Since the last update, I can barely hear the ringtone or voicemail on my iPhone 11 Pro. Oddly, the text tone is loud and clear. I have tried everything imaginable --- made sure the ring switch is not on silent, made sure that the "change with buttons" in settings is off and that the volume slides to maximum, made sure that "do not disturb" is off, turned off bluetooth, made sure the phone is not in headphones mode, restarted and/or turned off and back on several times. No change at all. Please help!

Did this issue start after updating to iOS 16? Have you actually done a Reset All Settings? Turning the iPhone off and back on does not do a reset. If you do this, Reset All Settings, read the instructions closely before you try it. Here is a link:

Or since all the other notifications are at proper volume and you can hear calls at the proper volume I would suggest contacting Apple Support directly. Here is a link: Official Apple Support

Does it matter which ringtone? Have you tried different ringtones?

No, I haven’t done a reset since I’ve done it in the past and spent forever getting all of my old settings back. I will try calling Apple support, but I usually can find more on these forums. I really do appreciate your help though.

I need to get a new phone asap since I have a 99-year-old mom with severe dementia and I have been missing calls from her facility. I’ve been an avid Apple fan for years, but the problems with my MacBook, iPads and phone have been escalating. Sadly, I think it’s time to make the switch😢.
