iMessage Reply ios16

Hey, is anyone else having this issue where if you press and hold and try to reply to a specific message on iMessage, the option is greyed out? It worked fine before I updated, and now it won’t work. I have a feeling it’s a bug, but maybe I’m missing something.

Interestingly, I CAN still reply to messages I got before I updated my phone, just not after.

iMessage on iPad 10 running iOS 18.3.2 An iMessage conversation with two other people on my iPad receives text fine but I am unable to reply. I have no problem with the same conversation on my iPhone SE running 15.8.3. The contacts are synced on both devices. There are many other conversations that have no issues on either device. The only clue is this started when one of the other people texted me while I was driving outside my area code. We have all deleted the conversation and started new but same problem. Opened and closed iMessage many times. Rebooted the iPad by power off and on. No luck.

iMessage keep opening new message when I tap icon It just started happening out of the blue. I go to check my messages, and instead of showing me my messages like it always does, it opens a brand a New Message that isn't addressed to anyone in particular. I have to hit "Cancel" to view messages. Not the end of the world, but super annoying. I restarted my iPhone and it still does it.
