macOS Monterey 12.6

So the 12.6 update came out and my 2021 MacBook Air did it automatically. Now I don't know for sure if this occurred because of the update but it's not out of the question. So I hard reset my mac but when I would sign back in I got the "Black Screen of Death" and couldn't do anything but restart it. I tried all the resets but nothing and couldn't even re-download macOS. All I did was change my password and it started working again.
