IOS 16 lag on iPhone 11 pro max

Updated to iOS 16 and my iPhone 11pro max is lagging and mainly the iMessage app in particular. Any fixes??

If I receive a text I get a notification but when I check my messages there’s nothing there then suddenly after about 5/6 seconds it appears. Every app I use it takes about 5 seconds to open. And when I’m trying to go from one app to another, it’s just so frustrating and takes what feels like forever. I’ve tried switching the phone off/on. I removed the sim for a while but no change. I’m hoping that the next upgrade will sort the problem but if anyone has had this issue and been able to fix it, I’d be glad of some advice. Thanks.

iPhone texting extremely slow and laggy after update to 17.6 Will there be a fix to this? Was it done deliberately to force an upgrade? Opening the messages app and reading texts is delayed sometimes by as much as 10 seconds. This includes keyboard response while typing in the messages app.

iMessage app uses interent for iPhone to iPhone. Please check the internet connectivity.

No problem in receiving or sending the message rather how the app reacts to input of the touch
