Downloading 1 Item - Stuck on Mac Screen

Hi All,

I've recently noticed that every time I open Photos on my Mac I get the iPhone image and a message saying "Downloading 1 Item", even if my phone isn't connected to the machine. It's not appearing in the Force Quit app so can anyone advise how to get rid of this other than having to keep restarting my computer. Thanks.
