Macbook Air M2 random Crashing! possible work around.

Not Exactly a question, more of a followup to my M2 Air crashing on YouTube videos.

Thanks to John Galt for his response and suggestions to my new M2's random crashes.

John, you suggested I let an Apple Tech try the hands-on approach to diagnosing and fixing the crashes.

As I am a retiree in a Mexican Beach town. I do not have the option of going to an official Apple Store like in the US or in my native Canada. All we have is a Vastly inferior reseller masquerading as an Apple Store.

The experience was a dumpster fire! The fresh out of school tech knew a lot less than me. My BS detector started going off 2 seconds after I met him, LOL!!!!

He was clueless about my machine, so I understood that I had better figure it out for myself

He showed me a diagnostic that according to him showed all systems were operating within specs.

Due to a lack of experience and logistical thinking, he missed a glaring detail in the diagnostics.

I asked him if he had tested the AC adapter, r and the new Gee wIzzzz mag 3 plug, connector and the adapter.

He tried to mumble something, but I gave up on him.

I then decided to spend $100 on my idea to test it out.

I ordered a Ugreen 4 port 65w adaptor C-type) Also a UGREEN lightning c CABLE.

SO basically my plan was to completely bypass the Mag3 connector, 30 w Apple adapter and cable. As soon as I did this, my number of crashes went WAY down. Now I can run for about 4 hours without a reboot.

The air M2 is now quite stable, I can actually get some serious work done on it and watch YouTube to my heart's content.

it's not perfect yet, but a recent Monterrey update seems to have also contributed to improving things.

book Air M?. A couple of weeks ago, I was drowning In Buyer's Remorse, but it's starting to shine. That keyboard is The best money can buy. THE retina DISPLAY IS AS GOOD AS my ZENBOOK PRO 4K and the Bluetooth stack connected to a set of Sennheiser pxc550s will blow your socks off!

I am lucky that for 30 years I have been a computer hobbyist, so I'm able to take Care of myself in the Apple Repair Jungle) (specially in México)

I haven't seen many reports of crashing m2's, so it looks like I got an unlucky aberration.

I hope my little story will help someone who is as worried as I was, about His expensive new toy!
