Obtaining Photos and Videos:

I. Enable Photos and Contacts in iCloud:

On the iPhones, enable Contacts in iCloud.

On the iPhone:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)
  5. Tap: Contacts (so that it is green)

II. Troubleshooting Deleted Photos:

Three Things to Try:

A. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos App - Apple Support

B. Check iCloud, Directly:

Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

C. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card

Hello Drana429,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

Have you noticed if photos are appearing as time has passed, or are they still missing? We ask because information can continue to download from iCloud if the iPhone remains connected to Wi-Fi. The restore process can continue to occur although your iPhone is set up.

If you restored your iPhone from an iCloud backup, let's check if that has completed. Take a look at the information below, and you can find additional helpful steps here: About missing information after you restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iCloud Backup - Apple Support

Sometimes the restore process may look complete, but your device is still downloading information in the background. To check this, tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup. If your device is still being restored, you see “This [device] is currently being restored and will automatically back up when it is done.”

If you're still missing these and see the restore has completed, let us know if current photos and videos remain or disappear. In addition, confirm that you have iOS 16.0.2 installed along with a good bit of available storage.

Have a great day!
