Option to add apple ID nonexistent

When I go to system preferences there is no option to add an apple ID. How do I do it?

Hello isabellaa160,

Do you already have an Apple ID? If so, you'd normally follow the steps listed here: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
  4. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.

So to confirm, you don't see the Sign In option? If so, could you provide us an image of System Preferences? You can blot out any personal information.

Thanks!
