The Sketch pad…

I’m desperately looking for an alternative to Sketch pad on my Watch (watchOS 9) when using the ‘Settings’ app. Is there a way to use a key pad option?

Greetings EasyJohn, 


It sounds like you’re looking for a keyboard option, as opposed to using Scribble in the Settings app for your Apple Watch. 


Apple Watch Series 7 and 8 have an option for QWERTY keyboard. However, many things can be managed for your Apple Watch in the Watch app on your companion iPhone. Perhaps if you can let us know what the end goal is, we can help you get there without using Scribble.

Thank you for the response.

The steps I have been attempting on the Watch are:

Going to settings and selecting Settings and selecting the option for me (the Owner) allowing me to sign on to iCloud.

The resulting feature for entering my password is the Scribble pad. (And my password does not start with an uppercase letter...)

To have the QWERTY keyboard option, or guidance on how I use the Watch App would be great.
