My new iPhone 14pro max has a black screen this morning following its regular overnight charge. I have tried the reset and it is now plugged in via a cord hoping this will work. Anyone else had this issue?

I saw a tutorial ; press the up volume button once then the down volume once and hold the power button on the right side until you see the Apple logo. This resets the iPhone. It’s a firmware bug. I hope Apple fixes this soon. I had a mini melt down

I did the force reset to get it going again this time. I will try your way next time. Hopefully there isn’t a next time!!
Not working
I’ve had my phone for a month and it happened this morning. The recommended restart worked. My phone was at 84% when it restarted. Glad I didn’t need my alarm this morning!
Just happened to me this morning as well. Is there a long term fix coming so this does not continue to happen?
thanks for the workaround fix. I had a mini meltdown too... Apple needs to fix this ASAP before more people get into a panic attack and sues them... LOL
Try connecting to your computer and do a firmware update. That solved my problem.

I had to do a firmware update the second time this happened. It hasn’t happened again. Has anyone gone to the Genius Bar at Apple?

My IPhone 13 Pro Max and now my 6th gen IPad have both blacked out . My IPhone came back on in 2 days but this just happened to my IPad . Anyone know what going on here?
Still happening [Feb 2023] so what is the permanent fix? For the price of this phone you can't have this happening every month.
