I’m trying to redownload and app, but I need to add a payment method to redownload it, but the app is free, so when I try to add my cash app card it says it won’t work, but then it try’s to take $15 out of my cash app account.

app store wont let me redownload an app. when I try to redownload a free app, it requires a credit card, and when I try to connect my card it fails and says "to avoid interruptions to your subscriptions and purchases, verify you payment information or add a new payment method." and as I try to verify it fails again.

Open Settings ➢ your name at the top of the list ➢ Payment & Shipping ➢ Add Payment Method.
